Harem Pants
Sewing pattern for fashionable harem pants?
I really want to sew myself a pair of harem pants, but I can't seem to find a sewing pattern. Ideally, I want them to look like this:

Most guides on the internet are for costumes, or don't look wearable for day-to-day clothing. Anybody know how to sew those pants, or does anybody know where to find the right pattern?
I'd ask "why?" but then I remember some of the clothes I wore when I was your age.

Or take any elastic waist pants pattern, and fold the front and back legs in half vertically, matching the hemlines as you fold. The fold you make is the true grainline, and it's where you'd press a crease into pants. Cut the pattern pieces apart on the foldline and splice in about 3-4" of tissue paper from waistline to hem, both front and back. Raise the waistline on the pants 1-1.5" (which will cause the crotch to drop a corresponding amount).
Be really careful to choose a drapey fabric for these -- it's really easy to turn them into something that looks like there's a diaper underneath by picking a fabric with too much body.
